The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Rehabilitation and Correction Department, began to restart the Holy Qur’an cycle for recovered inmates from the midway house through the online program.
The Director of the Rehabilitation and Evaluation Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Nasser Al-Ajmi said that the administration began restarting the Holy Quran circle dedicated to recovered inmates from the midway house through the online program in cooperation with the Holy Quran Affairs, in order to ensure the continuity of the inmates' faith program in light of health precautions to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
It is worth noting that the Rehabilitation and Evaluation Department supervises the inmates of the midway house in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, as the department prepares and supervises the educational, faith and rehabilitation programs for inmates from the various Quranic activities, camps, retreats, Hajj and Umrah programs and other programs aimed at preparing the inmates to complete the reasons for recovery. .
It is also within the jurisdiction of the administration to take care of inmates of correctional institutions (men and women), the addiction treatment center, inmates of psychiatry and juvenile care. It aims through its work to rehabilitate and provide reasons for the dignified return of these inmates to integrate into society in an appropriate manner.
